  • Who Is Walt Disney ?

Walter Ellis, known as Walt Disney, born in 1901 and died in 1966, was a producer, director, writer and representative. In addition to being a businessman, he founded Walt Disney, and also founded the world famous Disneyland Park, famed for inventing many famous cartoon characters Such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck

  • Family and Early Life :

Walt Disney was one of five children ,His father was Elias Disney an Irish-Canadian, and his mother, Flora Call Disney, was German-American.

Disney lived most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends.

Disney attended McKinley High School in Chicago, where he took drawing and photography classes and was a contributing cartoonist for the school paper. At night, he took courses at the Chicago Art Institute. When Disney was 16, he dropped out of school to join the Army but was rejected for being underage. Instead, he joined the Red Cross and was sent to France for a year to drive an ambulance. He moved back to the U.S. in 1919.

  • Walt Disney Story :

He worked for a company in the field of illustrations for ads and catalogs, and then joined a group of experienced. He tried to persuade a local publisher to design explanatory ads to try to convince the publisher that these ads would bring He had many gains,and He did.

After a while, Disney found an advertisement from Kansas City Film Ad, whose was forced to end the partnership between him and the owner of the publishing house to whom he was giving illustrations, to join the job. Walt Disney has proved his worth in filling the job and has become one of the best painters in the entire crew

After gaining more experience from his caricature work at the company, he moved to a new stage to achieve his ambition. He set up his own production company, and then sold a stake to some people to try to raise Laugh O Gram Films Inc enough money to produce A short cartoon film, he had the capital of 15000 dollar , , and produced the first two short films cartoon that imagine stories, and distributed the two films, and the two films received a wide audience, and despite this public success did not generate Disney of these two work any material returns, after The film “Alice in Wonderland” declared bankruptcy, but was able to  keep the copy of the film

after that He worked as a photographer for a local newspaper so he could stand again and save money to pursue his dream.also His friends and acquaintances helped him realize his dream of raising money.

after that His company, “Disney Productions” was launched in collaboration with his brother Roy. The company went through many events between failure and success until the company stabilized and began showing outstanding successes. The company became known locally and internationally, especially after the production of a long film address ” Snow White and the Dwarfs The Seven”

The film made a lot of revenue in cinemas and brought in huge profits. After this success, Disney began to produce three other films: Pinocchio, Bambi and Fantasia. But these films did not receive the desired success despite the high production cost, Worst of all, the Second World War broke out at the same time as the three films. Denzi was forced to sell some of the company’s shares, selling about 750,000 shares. Through the amount he received from selling the shares,he could manage to save his company again.

Disney was a leading figure and therefore could not adapt to the company’s new system in many shareholders because it was imposing its control and views on others. He came up with a new idea, the idea of creating a park for entertainment, but was rejected by some board members. He had to move to another field to obtain capital. To achieve his dream in the park, he went to television where he partnered with ABC for $ 5 million to finance the park. The first episodes of cartoon cartoons broadcast on the channel are episodes of “Mickey Mouse”

Disney won twenty-six Oscar awards out of fifty-nine nominations during his lifetime, and won four other honorary awards, making him the most widely acclaimed Academy Award winner. He also won seven Emmy Awards.
